It beats me how iinet can operate profitably at these pricing levels. The only copper wire network in Tasmania is owned by Telstra. I have a Bigpond ADSL 1500/256 account with a 12 gb usage limit. It costs me 79.95 less 10 bucks a month because I have bundled my home line, mobile and broadband on 1 account. That suggests to me that Telstra is price gouging. According to the iinet plans available i can get a bundled package of included line rental, a free VOIP phone, free local and national calls (VOIP to VOIP only I assume) 20000/1000 speed with about 20g for a bit less. Whats the catch I wonder?

I should add that line rental is on top of my Bigpond account, I pay a capped 49.95 mobile per month and roughly 45 per month land line calls. All up around 160 per month. Iinet looks too good to be true.
