    Wireless Broadband-Router?

I live in the country. I have a wireless modem (Next G Wireless Broadband Modem) it picks up wireless signals from the nearby tower. I bought a router so the wireless modem could also be used by laptops in the house only to find out that there was no ethernet connection in the modem (only a square USB port) to connect it to the router. Telstra has since told me that the only router availbe for my type of moden is an ericsson which costs about $1500. Is there any other way around this.  Is it otherwise possible to share the internet connection?

    Re: Wireless Broadband-Router?

I have just joined Bigpond Wireless and have the same problem. How do I network to allow both  my desktop computers to access the internet and at the same time.

I have asked Telstra/bigpond on a number of occasions and always got vague answers (it should be possible????) but never knowing the specifics.

One option appears to be buying another modem ($299) and hooking that to the other computer and installing the software using the same login and password as the first desktop. In theory this should be same as accessing your Bigpond account from another persons computer which also has a bigpond wirless internet connection,

I am not sure if this solution would allow both computers to use the internet at the same time? It may say you are already logged in??????

Do you think this would work??????????????
