I'm pulling out my hair here in Melbourne, getting ready to relocate to Adelaide and internet is a vital part of where we choose to rent.  Is there anyone I can call or anyplace I can find out what ISP's are available in which suburbs?  The individual "check availability" function (Telstra, Optus, etc) need a phone number to check for DSL, of course, we haven't moved yet so have no phone number.  We don't want to settle on a house only to find we can't get internet.  I know we can go wireless but my partner downloads a lot and wireless wouldn't work for us at all.  We were all but settled on a home in a new development in Smithfield Plains only to find out that there is virtually no internet available in the area.
